This week has been a tough one. There were highlights, such as welcoming new brides for 2012, lunch with great friends, and the release of the new Canon 5D Mark III {ok, the last one is strictly a photographer thing
}. Then there was the tough part. My youngest got sick and there was a test, then some heart wrenching results, loads of prayers, another test, and after 24 hours, he woke up totally fine, and that test, chalk it up to machine error. Except for the part where he was very sick, but then woke the next morning and wasn’t any more. Prayer still works. Everyday. It makes a tough week, easier to handle, for sure. It took a day or two for me to recover from the fear I felt. My mother’s heart was shook to it’s core and that is not an easy thing to overcome. It made me reevaluate the things I saw as important in those hours every day when my kids are home.
Then as I checked the blogs of my favorite photographers I run across this post on Justin & Mary’s blog. It was titled Meet Mary Ann and it moved me to tears. To quote Mary Ann, “If you had 5 minutes to live, would you spend 1 minute being unhappy.” Follow the link and spend 3 minutes reading this post. It will make you view life differently.
I shot the sweetest couple this week. A totally fun Engagement session. She is part Lebanese and her gorgeousness shows it. Here is a sneak peek. Look for a full post of their gorgeous session next week.

Kathy - I spent the day with Colleen today and she mentioned your photography work. I was excited to tell her that just yesterday I had discovered your website. The photos that you display on your pages are wonderful and you write so eloquent and beautifully here, I think maybe you need to be writing books too! Please tell that hubby of yours hello for me and that it has been way too long since I have seen him.March 2, 2012 – 7:11 pm
