They met on a plane ride from New Orleans to Chicago. It sounds like a line from a romantic movie or a Nicholas Sparks novel to be sure, but sometimes, life really does imitate those love stories we all hear about, those never in a lifetime kind of fated things. Courtney and Nicholas flow together like they have been in love for a lifetime already. It’s in the little quirky smile he gives her when he is joking around or the smile that lights her face and the sparkle in her eyes as she looks at him.
There is a pace to the life they have created together and I can’t imagine that every one who loves them isn’t blessed to be a part of their beautiful journey. So amidst the July rain showers and the fun, hustle, bustle, in New Orleans, we spent the afternoon capturing another step of their journey together.

Having a picnic in City Park has always been a favorite way of theirs to spend the afternoon together. A few ducks and one very persistent goose joined in on the fun so Courtney grabbed her bag of goldfish and it turned into a mini lifestyle shoot.
